Privacy, in plain terms what we collect and why

Privacy

This page says what happens to information you give us, and what the site does while you read it. It is short because there is not much to describe. We run no analytics, we set no advertising cookies, and nothing here follows you to another site.

Who is responsible

IntelliStream AS, Vestre Svanholmen 12, 4313 Sandnes, Norway, is the data controller for the information described below. Reach us through the contact form or at the address above, and say that your message is about personal data so it is routed properly.

What we collect, and what we do not

The contact form

Your name, email address, message, and your phone number if you choose to give one. Nothing on the form is collected that you did not type into it. We use it to answer you, which is the reason you sent it, and for no other purpose. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to an enquiry, and the steps leading to a possible agreement between us.

One cookie, for security

Submitting the form needs a session cookie so the server can tell your submission apart from a forged one. It holds no name and no identifier we can trace back to you, it is marked so scripts cannot read it, and it expires on its own. It is the kind of cookie that is exempt from consent because the form cannot work without it, which is why this site has no cookie banner. The form is also protected against bulk submission by a small calculation your browser does before sending, which runs entirely on this site and stores nothing about you. To stop one sender flooding the form, your IP address is held in memory for ten minutes and counted, then discarded. It is never written to disk and never attached to your message.

What the site does not do

No analytics of any kind. No Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising or social pixels, no session recording, no A/B testing, no profiling. Typefaces are served from our own servers rather than a font network, so reading a page does not announce your visit to a third party.

Who else sees it

Microsoft

An enquiry from the contact form is delivered to our inbox through Microsoft Graph, so a submitted message passes through Microsoft's mail infrastructure the same way an ordinary email to us would.

A European cloud instance

The site and its database run on a cloud server hosted inside the EEA. Your enquiry is held there and nowhere else, and it is not copied to a platform outside Europe.

How long we keep it

We delete an enquiry six months after it arrives, whether or not it went anywhere. That is the whole retention period, and it applies to every message the form receives. Deletion runs automatically rather than when someone remembers. If you would rather we deleted yours sooner, ask, and we will.

What you can ask us to do

You have the right to see what we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to what we do with it, and to receive it in a portable form. Ask, and we will act on it without charging you. If you think we have handled your information badly, you can complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, at datatilsynet.no.

When this page changes

We will update this page rather than notify anyone, since there is no mailing list to notify. The date at the top says when it last changed.

Anything here you want explained

If something on this page is unclear, or you want to know exactly what we hold about you, ask us directly. A person will answer.
